Delivered a customizable, plug-and-play P&ID drafting system for CO2 refrigeration installations, enabling rapid equipment reconfiguration and cutting documentation turnaround from days to hours.
The client required Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for a CO2 refrigeration system, with each installation needing a slightly different equipment configuration based on facility-specific requirements. Producing new documentation from scratch for every variation was time-consuming and slowed the client's ability to respond to customer requests.
The engineering requirement was to design a documentation system flexible enough to accommodate varying equipment counts and configurations — compressors, boilers, heat exchangers, and an optional heat reclamation module — while preserving standardized connection points and system integrity across every variation.
The goal was a "plug-and-play" P&ID framework that let the client generate accurate, configuration-specific documentation on demand, including during live customer meetings, without sacrificing engineering accuracy.
Successful documentation for CO2 refrigeration systems demands more than accurate P&IDs — it requires a drafting framework flexible enough to keep pace with each facility's unique configuration needs. As part of its HVAC CAD drafting expertise, Asset-Eyes built a customizable, plug-and-play P&ID system that let the client reconfigure documentation in hours instead of days — including rapid deployment of a heat reclamation module for facilities with specific energy recovery requirements — dramatically improving responsiveness to customer requests while maintaining consistent system integrity across every project variation.
